Our products’ varied range of applications can be customized by means of additional processing. Countless techniques and options are available for further improving products during or following the production process.
Naturally we also work closely with our customers to collectively devise the best possible solution.
The examples below are several processing options.

Adhesive technologies

NMC is the leading company when it comes to the application of hot-melt adhisive and adhesive tape on synthetic profiles. After years of research in collaboration with the automobile industry and others we are able to apply protective foams to finished paint which, when removed, leave no sticky residue whatsoever. A range of patents attests to the technical perfection of these products.

Coextrusion technology

Coextrusion is a production process whereby it is possible, using two parallel-running extruders, to produce a finished product with different characteristics in one operation. Two foams with different physical and chemical properties can thus be united in one product and can allow versatile application possibilities. One further option of this procedure is the production of one profile with two different colours.

Profiles with special coatings

Profiles are created with an additional internal reinforcement especially for difficult and sharp-edged articles such as glass or windshields. In a parallel manufacturing process the foam is extruded in order to then apply an additional sturdy layer which can effectively withstand higher mechanical loads and thus give more ideal protection.

A further application field is impact resistant foams, such as protective foams for playgrounds. An added coat of pure polyethylene is applied to the outer layer of a rounded foam profile in order to then give a durable covering.

Water jet cutting technology

NMC uses water power to cut and process foam accurate to the millimetre. With a precision nozzle the jet of water is so concentrated that it exceeds 1,000 bar on the profile and precisely cuts foam as customers demand it.

Printing technologies

Printing and applying imprints and logos on our foam products is a widely used option for effectively drawing attention to customer promotions. Imagine a football stadium in which every visitor receives a seat cushion with your logo on it.
Furthermore, we can supply your products with any type of desired marking, thus allowing to trace your product.

Laminating technology

Using our unique laminating equipment we can bind the most diverse materials together, bind multiple foam layers to a desired thickness, or join foam profiles breadth-wise to fulfill specific customer demands.
